Iden Sungyoung Kim: „Footnotes – Ground Zero“

Ground Zero - originally termed the explosion site of a nuclear bomb or rocket, has meant exclusively in connection with nuclear explosions since the Manhattan Project. Following Hiroshima and Nagasaki, now the actual Ground Zero, human perception of nuclear weapons and power has completely changed, and so far, numerous institutions such as the International Atomic Energy Agency have been established against the use of atomic and nuclear weapons research.
This work is a research on documentary and archival art practice as a cultural artifact, with which previous incidents in society were thought and assessed as well, and from which they can get another overview of the current state and discuss it again through so-called "third effect" between historically archived interviews, films and even places, which actually still have the connection with nuclear power plant.
