Ready to Pair - Lisa Schäffler

The history of mankind is a story of man and their tools, their inventiveness and their intelligence. But what happens, when the machine overcomes human intelligence, when creation becomes its creators' equal? In three narrative chapters, Chaos, Transformation and Tranquility, the film-collage Ready to Pair combines film material with 3D renderings and found footage in an experimental re-interpretation of the shared history of man and machine.

Photograph, film, graphics and the web are all media, Lisa Schäffler likes to draw on in her work on forms of human interaction. She works around themes such as community, social innovation in urban environments, and our reaction to dogmas, rules and fears.
